Nyakahanga is in Karagwe District. Karagwe is one of the six districts in Kagera region in the North Western corner of Tanzania. Like most parts of the country our road communication system is very rough. During heavy rains roads are impassable. The hospital is 125 km away from Bukoba town where the regional hospital is located. You can fly to Bukoba from Kilimanaro Airport daily. The cost is about 170$. From there you have to take local bus or daladala, which takes about 3-4 hours depending on the weather.
The hospital is well prepared to receive vistors. 2002 we received 209 visitors from different countries.
